This past weekend, the Forest Lake Good Samaritans hosted our annual Cleanest City in America" Citywide Cleanup, and the results were nothing short of amazing! 🌎✨
Despite the lingering chill from the winter months, our dedicated volunteers came together with enthusiasm and community spirit to make a tangible difference in our beautiful city.
A Collective Effort for a Cleaner Community
Our Good Samaritans spread out across the greater Forest Lake area, tackling litter and debris that had accumulated over the winter. In just two hours, our incredible volunteers collected over 188 bags of litter! This massive effort not only improved the appearance of our streets and parks but also contributed to a healthier and more sustainable environment for all residents to enjoy.
Friendly Competition Sparks Greater Impact
To add an extra layer of fun and motivation, local groups participated in a friendly competition to see who could collect the most litter. We are thrilled to announce that the Forest Lake Lions Club took the top spot this year, gathering an impressive 33 bags of trash on their own! 🎉 Their dedication and hard work set a fantastic example for what we can achieve when we work together towards a common goal.
